Ametrine, also known as trystine or by its trade name as bolivianite,
is a naturally occurring variety of quartz. It
is a mixture of amethyst and citrine with zones of purple and yellow or
orange. Almost all commercially available ametrine is mined in Bolivia,
although there are deposits being exploited in Brazil and
India.

Popular Cuts:
Ametrine is mostly found using the Step Cut. The Step cut is preferred as it enables the cutter to capture both the purple and golden yellows hues of Ametrine. This cut also accentuates its brilliance
Colour:
Ametrine adopts a fascinating optical property called colour zoning. Colour-zoning in Ametrine is between deep purple and golden yellow- these colours appear unevenly and in irregular patches
