Two beautiful rainbow moonstone cabochons, displayed in contemporary rose gold plated sterling silver claws. These earrings use a post and butterfly clip and are suitable for pierced ears only.
Gemstone Information
Rainbow Moonstone is very similar to traditional moonstone, but has a schiller effect in it's surface, giving off sparks of shimmering colour.
Whilst Moonstone is not technically a birthstone, it is widely used as an alternative for the June birthstone, giving much more variety for those with a June birthday.
Moonstone was given it's name due to its colour likeness to moonlight, which the romans believed solidified and fell to earth to form this celestial gem.
