A classic tear drop shape, embellished with diamonds and each showcasing a single round garnet, shaped in 9ct white gold. These earrings have a fish hook fastening and are suitable for pierced ears only.
Gemstone Information
Ancient Romans used carved garnets in wax seal stamps and signet rings.
Garnet is the assigned gemstone for a January birthstone, and is traditionally gifted to those celebrating a 2nd anniversary. Diamond is the birthstone for April, and is the traditional gemstone to give on a 10th and 60th anniversary.
Garnet has been discovered on mummified Egyptian bodies, dating as far back as 3500 BC.
